Fresh off their 31-30 thrilling last second win over the New England Patriots, the Baltimore Ravens earned the respect of those from SB Nation, as they rose in their NFL Power Rankings: Week 4. After losing a nail-biter to the Philadelphia Eagles in week 3, they rebounded to exact revenge for their AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots from last January.
Ranked sixth last week, Baltimore rose up to the third spot in the rankings, behind two undefeated teams, the Houston Texans (2nd) and the Atlanta Falcons (#1st). The Ravens bypassed three of the teams ahead of them last week, the San Francisco 49ers (4th), the New York Giants (5th) and the Green Bay Packers (6th). The Packers stay highly ranked even though they have a 1-2 record, unfortunately due to what may be one of the worst calls in NFL history last night.
Here's what SB Nation's Joel Thorman says about the Ravens ranking:
3. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 6, 2-1): Two weeks ago this was our No. 1 team. A tough (and questionable) loss to the Eagles followed by a nice Sunday night win over the Patriots brings them back up near the top. What does it mean that I'm no longer stunned by a big performance from Joe Flacco?
