Yesterday at the Baltimore Ravens training camp, the team held it's final practice that the media was permitted to view prior to Thursday's preseason game hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. A lot of Red Zone drills highlighted by three straight TD passes by QB Joe Flacco, to LaQuan Williams, Anquan Boldin and then Boldin again.
Speaking of Flacco, it is beginning to look like tight end Billy Bajema is getting the most reps in the absence of injured starters Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta. Although Devon Drew has been here longer, Bajema seems to have more reliable hands and has developed a rapport with Flacco.
Guard Bobbie Williams is expected to open the season at left guard, but he has been seen taking reps at both the right as well as the left guard position. The same thing goes for rookie Kelechi Osemele, who appears to be the next guy up in the rotation along the offensive line.
Towards the end of practice, in offense/defense drills, Ed Reed picks a tipped ball out of the air and immediately begins looking for someone to lateral the ball to, even though the play is blown dead as soon as he catches the ball. Some things never change...
