By the time you read this, the Baltimore Ravens will be on the football field at Stevenson University for their third and final public practice. Stevenson is only a few miles away from the team's Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, Maryland, but it has about 3,500 seats to accommodate fans that otherwise could never see the team practice at their practice facility.
Baltimore Beatdown is among the credentialed media in attendance, taking in all the action. Notes, photos and perhaps even a few interviews should follow shortly.
Seeing the Ravens on this field will be a new experience for many, but the older fans will remember the times that the old Baltimore Colts practiced in this exact area long before it became the property and ultimately the new field for the Stevenson University Mustangs football program.
The old film that showed the Colts being driven out of Baltimore on Mayflower moving vans on a snowy day in 1984 was right at the spot that the new stadium sits. Ironic that the Ravens return to that place 28 years later.
