The news has died down about Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs' Achilles Tendon injury and subsequent surgery. At one point, Suggs insisted he would return a lot earlier in the 2012 regular season than most others predicted, as there was a thought that he might not even make it back this year at all.
Suggs backed off his previous boast and said he thought he could make it back in or around November, to get enough work in to be ready for the final run at the post season. A recent story on SB Nation's NFL page states that Suggs' surgery went well and that he is out of his protective boot and is working out in anticipation of beginning his all-important rehabilitation program.
"It's going great, I'm in good spirits, I like the progress that I'm making," Suggs said. "I came out of the boot last week, I'm just walking right now, doing muscle strengthening, trying to get the tendon back strong, and I'm great with where I'm at right now, just loving the process."
An ESPN article with accompanying video confirmed the news.
