Well we've been holding our own as a country for well over 200 years now, and all of the European countries who said we couldn't make it are wrong yet again. This amazing country is the home to the spectacular life we all know and love.
On this fateful day 236 years ago, our forefathers declared that our prospering original 13 colonies were breaking away from England for "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness", united by the belief that all men are created equal. United by our common goal of freedom, these small 13 colonies eventually crushed the British forces to become the United States of America.
Without this daring act of valiance, life as we know it would not be the way it is now. The smell of freshly cut grass and roasting hot dogs on our way to M&T Bank Stadium would be nothing. The little liberties we take for granted are the ones that makes this date in history so important. Because a daring people with a unified sense of nationalism and freedom came together to fight for their rights, allowing us the liberty to shoot off our fireworks today to celebrate our amazing star-spangled country.
Happy 4th of July, everybody, I hope you guys have an amazing day. God Bless America!
