ESPN Locks Up NFL Experts

The guys on ESPN who bring us all the inside information and news on the NFL have been locked up through contract extensions, which should be good news for all football fans. Baltimore's own Mel Kiper, Jr., John "The Professor" Clayton, Adam Schefter and Ed Werner all signed multi-year deals, according to Sports Illustrated.com.

These four guys are among the best at what they do and whether or not you like Kiper's draft analysis, you've got to respect that the hometown native has been doing it for four decades. Schefter always seems to have breaking news before most anyone else. Clayton knows everybody and everything and Werner appears wherever and whenever news is happening, standing in front of that team's training complex as if he was just beamed there.

In other related news, ESPN also signed news anchor Stuart Scott to a contract extension. Oh well, it can't all be good news!
