The name of one more member of the Baltimore Ravens was revealed last night on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2012. There were four players on the team from last year's list whose names had not be released (Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Ray Rice) and Lewis is the first of the group to be mentioned.
Lewis was #4 overall and the top defensive player on the 2011 list, but dropped 16 spaces since then. However, the combination of 16 seasons in the league as well as missing a quarter of the 2011 regular season (4 games) in 2011 , all makes this ranking still extremely impressive for a guy who will be 37 years old when the 2012 season begins.
Above is the video from the list of the Top 100 Players of 2011. Watch this year's video on NFL.com and listen to the players who did the voting for the Top 100 Players of 2012. Hear the level of utmost respect his peers have for him, with comments ranging for players wanting to try to see what he sees on the field, to comments that he is not only the best linebacker in the game, but the best football player in the entire league.
