Although the Baltimore Ravens have not officially acknowledged it, NFL.com is reporting that linebacker Terrell Suggs has torn his Achilles Tendon playing basketball and is likely out for the entire 2012 season.
The reigning Defensive Player of the Year was working out in his hometown of Arizona when this horrific injury occurred. Ravens fans everywhere are shocked and in a daze as to how this could have happened when the season was shaping up as one of the most promising in years.
With the loss of Suggs from the Ravens defense, this may mean that the upcoming competition between Paul Kruger and rookie Courtney Upshaw may not be a competition anymore, as the team will need both to play and contribute from the beginning. Don't be surprised if the Ravens are scouring the veteran free agent market as you read this.
