NFL Post-Draft Power Rankings

Although for the most part, the results of the 2012 NFL Draft won't be totally known until years from now, there will be those players that have an immediate impact on their teams right away. With that in mind, the good folks over at SB Nation have put out their first post-draft NFL Power Rankings.

Ranking all 32 teams is a tough task, especially when you look at the top and the bottom of the list. Who gets be named the best is just as hard to decide as is who to be named the worst. They still like the one team that many thought would be the Super Bowl champs last season, despite being knocked out in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.

The Green Bay Packers get the top spot and while you might want to argue that the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants deserve that spot, remember that they won the NFL title from the fourth-seed position after finishing the regular season with a mediocre 9-7 record.

The Giants do get the #3 slot, behind the Super Bowl runner-up New England Patriots and one spot ahead of your Baltimore Ravens.

Here's what the story has to say about the Ravens being put into the 4th spot in their rankings:

"They'll win 11-13 games and be a force in the AFC. Rinse and repeat."

The Ravens 4th slot means to the writers that they should once again face the Pats in the AFC Championship Game after the 2012 regular season is over. The Ravens get a chance at revenge when they host New England in week three on prime time.

The Ravens shouldn't get comfortable, however, as their AFC North arch-rival Pittsburgh Steelers are right behind them in the 5th slot. The other division teams are the Cincinnati Bengals, ranked 14th and the Cleveland Browns, who alas, bring up the rear of the league with the 32nd ranking.
