Ravens Front Office Changes

The Baltimore Ravens made some changes in titles to members of their front office and while nothing should change in the way they go about their business, the changes are a forecast of things to come. Formerly the team's Director of Player Personnel, Eric DeCosta is now officially the Assistant General Manager.

DeCosta has been mentioned as being the future replacement for current GM Ozzie Newsome and the change in title puts him more in line to assume the position when that day ultimately comes. The full story is over at BaltimoreRavens.com.

There were a few other changes and promotions in the team's personnel department. Little known area scout Joe Douglas, who handles most of the scouting for what end up as undrafted rookie free agents, has been promoted to National Scout. David Blackburn was a personnel assistant and now will be an Area Scout with specific regional responsibilities.
