The 2012 NFL Draft begins in prime time on Thursday evening, April 26th for the first round. Rounds two and three are on Friday and the remain rounds four through seven are on Saturday afternoon. According the an NFL press release, a record twenty-six top prospects are confirmed to attend the 2012 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the NFL has announced.
That includes a record five players from BCS National Champion Alabama: S Mark Barron, LB Dont’a Hightower, CB Dre Kirkpatrick, RB Trent Richardsonand LB Courtney Upshaw. Barron, Hightower and Upshaw have all been mentioned as being on the radar of the Baltimore Ravens, although there is a good chance all five will be long gone before the Ravens selection comes up.
Louisiana State will have three players in attendance, while Baylor, South Carolina, Southern California and Stanford will each have two players in New York this year.
