With competitors coming from all works of life, almost 200 tried out to become a member of the Baltimore Ravens cheerleaders. The hopefuls were put through a rigorous routine that will whittle the group down to 90, with the final cutdown to 60 members to be held on March 17th in front of the public at Baltimore's Lyric Theater.
Fans can take part in the selection process called, "Making The Cut," by purchasing tickets at the Ravens Cheerleaders page on BaltimoreRavens.com. A story on abc2news.com details the specifics of the tryouts, including the two rounds of competition consisting of a skills and dance portion.
The finalists will be graded on their abilities by a panel of cheerleading experts and local celebrity judges, unfortunately not including Baltimore Beatdown.
