Giants Repeat Super Bowl Win Over Patriots Again

Eli Manning - Super Bowl 46 MVP

Repeating another last minute win in the Super Bowl, the New York Giants came back to beat the New England Patriots for the second time in the last four years, this time winning 21-17. In 2008, a game-winning drive resulted in a Giants victory in Super Bowl 42 over these same Patriots.

New York QB Eli Manning engineered both drives and now has two Super Bowl titles, one behind Tom Brady, although he has beaten the Patriots signal-caller both times they've faced each other. In winning his second ring, Eli now has one more title than his more famous brother, Peyton, and should absolutely be mentioned when discussing "elite" quarterbacks in the NFL from now on.

Despite being such a close game, the Super Bowl was far from being considered a "super" game, at least anywhere outside of New York. Something tells me when the Nielsen Ratings come out, it will show that this was one of the lowest watched Super Bowls in the Baltimore area in along, long time.

Congrats to the Eli Manning, who was named the game's MVP and is the recipient of a sweet Chevy Corvette, as well as to the entire New York Giants organization.
