Baltimore Beatdown Draws Record January Traffic

With the Baltimore Ravens deep run in the playoffs, this site drew record traffic for not only a single day but for the month as well in terms of both individual visits and page views (looking around after logging onto the site). Baltimore Beatdown drew over 250,000 visits and 460,000 page views in January 2012.

It definitely would have been more had the Ravens won the AFC Championship Game instead of dropping in shocking fashion, 23-20 to the New England Patriots. However, the day of the game drew 23,000 visits and 42,000 page views alone and combined with the following day (20,000 visits / 36,000 page views), gave us a two-day total of 43,000 visits and almost 80,000 page views in just 48 hours!

Prior to January 2012, the best months in Baltimore Beatdown's four year history was August 2011, when the NFL Lockout ended and training Camps got underway (183,000 visits / 343,000 page views). While traffic will drop off during the off-season, we have the NFL Scouting Combine coming up later this month and the 2012 NFL Draft in April, with tons of news between now and then, including free agency and year-around NFL football news here on Baltimore Beatdown.

Thanks for a great month and looking forward to another great year!
