A total of 65 players were granted special eligibility for the 2012 NFL Draft. Those players, who are underclassmen from the college ranks, will be among the many hoping to make it to the next level after starring for their respective teams in the NCAA.
Some of the more well known names include Stanford QB Andrew Luck, Baylor QB Robert Griffin III, Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon and USC tackle Matt Kalil. The list of 65 players is the largest number of players who have ever been granted the special eligibility for the NFL Draft. Last year's 56 players had been the most in at least the past ten years, but that number was surpassed this year.
The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft will be held on Thursday evening, APril 26th, with the second and third rounds on Friday evening , April 27th and the remaining rounds 4-7 on Saturday afternoon, April 28th.
