A 75% success rate will make you a wealthy man picking the winners in Las Vegas. Not only that, but I got the New Orleans Saints over the Dallas Cowboys correct in my only "Upset Special Pick of the Week." Here's Sunday's week 17 games and I'll make my pick in the Baltimore Ravens at the Cincinnati Bengals game tomorrow:
Steelers over Browns: Pittsburgh is joining Cleveland at home, missing out on the playoffs while two other AFC North teams play on. Bummer.
Colts over Texans: Indianapolis is still playing for pride and are tough at home, while Houston might have a problem, giving up points by the bunches late in the season. An '"Upset Special Pick of the Week."
Eagles over Giants: Another "Upset Special," as for some strange reason, I think Michael Vick has more to play for than the Giants do, even though New York still has an outside chance of making the post season.
Falcons over Buccaneers: Atlanta already earned home field advantage in the playoffs, but after looking impressive earlier, Tampa Bay has fallen apart.
Bills over Jets: Admit it, other than the fans in New York, isn't everyone just loving the soap opera horrible season the Jets are going through?
Bears over Lions: Chicago needs to keep winning to make the playoffs and Detroit has disappointed and now has no reason to put up much of a fight.
Saints over Panthers: For a team that started off 0-4, New Orleans has finished strong and a lot of teams are happy not to see them in the playoffs, and Carolina QB Cam Newton just won't be able to match the offensive fireworks from Saints QB Drew Brees and company.
Titans over Jaguars: I wasn't too sure who to pick in this snooze-fest, so I'm just going with the home team and then forgetting all about this game.
Broncos over Chiefs: A game between perhaps the current best team in the NFL and perhaps the worst and you have to figure which one is Denver and which is Kansas City.
Vikings over Packers: Green Bay is in the post season but Minnesota needs this one to stay alive in the playoff hunt, so I'm going with Adrian Peterson to continue his amazing return from ACL surgery in this "Upset Special."
Patriots over Dolphins: New England wants a first round bye and has no intention of Miami getting in the way of that one week rest.
Chargers over Raiders: San Diego should go out on top in Norv Turner's last game (?), while Oakland continues to stay bad for another season.
Seahawks over Rams: Wow, Seattle only scored 42 points this week after going over 50 the previous two. Doesn't bode well for St. Louis.
49ers over Cardinals: San Francisco needs this game to stay atop the NFC West and after getting drubbed last week, Arizona is going to feel the brunt of their frustrations.
Cowboys over Redskins: Washington is at home, Dallas is on the road and lost at home last week and earlier this season to the Redskins. Therefore, in this crazy NFL season, while it seems like the Skins should win at home with the NFC East title on the line, I see the 'Boys coming up big in the biggest game of the weekend. Another "Upset Special!"
Last Week: 12-4
Season Record: 153-87-1
