Ray Lewis To Miss Final Two Games Of Season

My apologies for the lateness of this post. I had typed it up and scheduled it and I guess it just fell through.

Evan Habeeb-US PRESSWIRE

From ESPN: Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is not expected to return for the final two games of the regular season but still has a chance to play in the postseason, according to a report on NFL.com.

Lewis, who is on the injured reserve-designated to return list, has missed the past eight games since tearing his triceps. He practiced all week but he would need to be activated by 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon in order to play Sunday against the Giants.

The Baltimore Sun reported Friday that there were indications that Lewis would play. Ravens coach John Harbaugh wouldn't discuss Lewis' status Friday, saying only that the two-time NFL defensive player of the year is "coming along."

Not having Lewis further depletes the linebacker group for the reeling Ravens, who have lost three straight games. Starting inside linebacker Jameel McClain (neck) was placed on injured reserve this week, and Dannell Ellerbe (ankle), who has replaced Lewis, is considered a game-time decision.

Once again you guys I am so sorry for the lateness of this post, I really had something typed up and it just didn't publish.
