Among the players on both sides of the ball for the Baltimore Ravens, are guys who have been considered to be one of the best at their positions in the entire league. Of course, you have two of the best ever at their positions, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, but also younger guys who have already made their mark on the league, including Terrell Suggs, and Haloti Ngata on defense, and Ray Rice on offense.
There's also Joe Flacco as well as Maryland's own Torrey Smith, one of the younger, yet rising stars on this team. So which one is your favorite and why? Do you have a personal story to relate as to why that player has your vote? Perhaps it's a guy who might not be a star but your reasoning is based on a chance meeting or other connection.
While Ray Lewis will always be my favorite player on the Ravens, I've had the rare chance to interview a few of the lesser-known guys and have come to respect the paths they taken to the NFL. One of them is Torrey Smith's former University of Maryland teammate, WR LaQuan Williams, who was thrilled to receive a call from his hometown team and has worked hard to earn a roster spot. I had the chance to interview him before he made the final roster last year and enjoyed speaking with him.
So who's your favorite and why?
