The Baltimore Ravens were ranked 3rd in last week's SB Nation's NFL Power Rankings, but slipped to 4th this week despite winning once again to move their record to 4-1. They were "leapfrogged" by the San Francisco 49ers, according to the story, and for a pretty hard reason to argue with. The 49ers beat their previous two opponents by a combined score of 79-3. Meanwhile the Ravens struggled mightily to edge the Kansas City Chiefs 9-6.

The Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons, both remaining undefeated, hold down the top two spots, respectively. After the 49ers and the Ravens come, in order, the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. The love for Pittsburgh is interesting, considering there are seven teams who currently have better records than them yet are ranked lower.

One could argue the Bears deserve to be ranked ahead of the Ravens, as they demolished Dallas in Dallas and then Jacksonville in Jacksonville. Neither the Cowboys nor the Jaguars are among the toughest teams in the league but both wins were on the road and we all saw what happened to the Ravens on the road in Kansas City.

Here's what they said about the Ravens' ranking:

4. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 3, 4-1): The Ravens offense was contained in Kansas City but let's not forget their defense is elite, too. They held the Chiefs to two field goals on the day.
