Ravens Get Respect In NFL Power Rankings

The Baltimore Ravens might not be the top ranked team in the latest issue of SB Nation's NFL Power Rankings, but they are getting respect as the top ranked non-undefeated team.

The Baltimore Ravens might not be the top ranked team in the latest issue of SB Nation's NFL Power Rankings, but they are getting respect as the top ranked non-undefeated team. The Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons, both 4-0, rightly deserve the top two slots. Houston has not played any team that would be described as one of the better in the league, but they have won big each time. Atlanta took care of business in each game and has done enough to win even if it was on the last play of the game.

The Ravens beat the Patriots on the final play and could have done the same thing to the Philadelphia Eagles, but instead faltered and suffered their only loss. They are the top 3-1 team in the rankings, ahead of the San Francisco 49ers (4th) and Chicago Bears (5th).

Ironically, there is one other undefeated team in the league, the Arizona Cardinals, who also won on the game's final play last week and despite being 4-0, are still only the 6th ranked team in these power rankings.

Here's what they say about the Ravens #3 ranking:

3. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 3, 3-1): I want to say this is the most complete team in the NFL. I don't think that would be fair to Houston and Atlanta, but the Ravens are very close to that. There's not a clear weakness on the team.
