Super Bowl XLVI on Feb. 5 pits the New York Giants against the New England Patriots in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII in 2008, when the wild-card Giants stunned the previously undefeated Patriots 17-14 in one of the biggest upsets in the history of American sports. This year the teams are more evenly matched, with the Patriots opening as 3.5-point favorites. New York has been on a roll, having won six of its last seven regular season and playoff games after starting the season 6-6. New England cruised to a 13-3 regular season record behind quarterback Tom Brady and the second-best passing offense in the NFL.
