Baltimore Ravenshead coach John Harbaugh liked what he saw at yesterday's M&T Bank Stadium practice, from the great turnout of over 24,000 fans to the efforts of the players out on the field. Never completely satisfied, he always was looking to accomplish more. When I asked what he thought of the rookie's efforts today, he responded that he couldn't tell until he looked at the tape, and perhaps he'll just read what the media writes.
Harbaugh did specifically mention the play of the cornerbacks, and individually acknowledged Cary Williams who has had two great days of practice lately, as well as rookie Chykie Brownand undrafted rookie Josh Victorian.
Towson University WR Hakeem Moore came up the steps towards the locker room and then stopped and said, "Oh my mom! I forgot to say 'Hi!" I found him later and confirmed that he did find her and said "Hello."
As the players were interviewed and getting ready for the short bus ride back to Owings Mills, the team staff picked up what seemed like miles of tape, padding and trash as the players undressed and left their pads for the equipment guys to organize. Putting together a little practice like this requires intense strategy and organization, so the staff moves silently but effectively in keeping things moving, out of the way and perfectly organized.
