Former Ravens CB Josh Wilson Disses Baltimore

Earlier this week, former Baltimore ravens cornerback Josh Wilson, now a member of the Washington Redskins, was asked about the rivalry between the two teams, even in a pre-season game. He starting off the "dissing" by saying there was no comparison between the fan bases, according to a story in the Washington Post.

"One thing about it, they have nowhere near the tradition of Redskins fans," Wilson said with a grin. "...My uncle is 50-so years old and all they know are Redskins and you’d almost think somebody’s died when the Redskins have lost."

Remember, Wilson went to the University of Maryland and grew up closer to DC than Baltimore as a Redskins fan. Many Raves fans were hoping the team would re-sign the former Terrapin product as he came on strong towards the end of the season and personally won the OT game against the Houston Texans with a great pick-six after the Ravens blew a four touchdown lead late in the fourth quarter.

Wilson hopes he is cheered when he takes the field tonight, but if the Ravens booed Le'Ron McClain when he came onto the field in last week's pre-season game, don't expect the welcome wagon to be brought out based on Wilson's recent comments.
