The Baltimore Ravens enter Thursday night's pre-season contest with their I-95 neighbors to the south, the Washington Redskins, fully aware that while they have split their first two exhibition games, their opponent has won both of theirs. Not only that, but they've defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts, two of the Ravens' biggest nemeses.
Realizing these games in no way reflect what might happen in the regular season, I asked Ravens head coach John Harbaugh if this was just another pre-season game or if the rivalry between the two cities add a bit of intensity to the desire to give Baltimore the victory over Washington.
Harbaugh didn't necessarily buy into the rivalry thing, but did mention that the Redskins seem to get more TV coverage and they are playing well in all three phases of the game. For Coach Harbaugh's full response, click on the link below.
