The Baltimore Ravens have just announced that they will be holding an open practice at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium on August 6, 2011. The gates to the stadium would open at 9am and the practice will be free to the public, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. More specific details will be forthcoming, so stay tuned.
Last year the Ravens held a open practice at the downtown home field, which resulted in huge attendance figures. The players ran drills and held practiced at both ends of the field for the fans to catch glimpses of their favorite players, they stayed long afterwards to sign autographs around the edges of the stands.
The team will begin formal practices on August 4th, hold the stadium practice on August 6th, then play their first of four exhibition games starting August 11th. In the meantime, they will fill out their roster through re-signing their own players, signing other veteran and undrafted free agents.
