In a story posted in the Carroll County Times, Baltimore Ravens rookie running back Anthony Allen was not involved in a pornography event in Florida, although he agreed to allow his name to be used in conjunction with it. Allen, the Ravens seventh round draft pick from Georgia Tech, issued a statement that basically said that he had been misled by the organizers to lend his name along with other NFL players.
The event was a party in May at a place called Club Play for the event known as Exxxotica 2011. Allen was under the impression that he was one of several NFL players who were being touted as involved, but apparently it was just a big mistake and he was not knowledgeable of what was going on at the party and did not attend.
Allen's statement included an apology which should not lead this story to the desk of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for any further action in accordance with the league personal conduct policy.
