Ravens' Harbaugh Keynote Speaker At Lacrosse Championship

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh can't wait to get back onto the field at M&T Bank Stadium, but this was probably not the way he expected it to happen. Harbaugh was the keynote speaker at the banquet to kick off the 2011 NCAA Lacrosse Championships. The semi-finals and finals will be played at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium, where of course the Ravens play their home games.

One of the teams is the University of Maryland, and three of the Final Four are from the ACC, including Duke and Virginia. The fourth team here is all the way from the University of Denver, which didn't even have a varsity lacrosse team until 1999.

In a story from ProFootballTalk.com, Harbaugh teased the 'Pioneers' saying, "Denver, you don`t play in the ACC do you?" he joked. "I know what you`re saying: 'That`s all right. Watch us win the ACC championship this weekend.'"

Hopefully, Harbaugh and his Ravens will be able to get out on the playing field at M&T Bank Stadium on time this fall to start of the 2011 NFL season with a victory over their arch-rival Pittsburgh Steelers on September 11th.
