Inside The Ravens War Room

BaltimoreRavens.com posted an exclusive look inside the Baltimore Ravens 'War Room' and the selection of Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith with the 27th pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. They show video of the initial call made to Smith from defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano, then passing the phone off to General Manager Ozzie Newsome who asks Smith, "you ready?"

Out in the hallway, head coach John Harbaugh huddles with his secondary coach, Teryl Austin, who says, "we just got a little bit better," as well as defensive line coach Clarence Brooks and outside linebackers coach Ted Monachino.

Harbaugh is obviously thrilled and completely convinced that the team got a young man who has dealt with adversity and become a better person through it all. He says about Jimmy Smith, "he wants to be a great player."

Check it out.
