Ravens' Top Ten Draft Successes: #8

New, comments

Years ago the Baltimore Ravens drafted a quarterback in the first round thinking they had their franchise QB for the next ten years - at least. However, despite starting his rookie season, Kyle Boller never had the success that Joe Flacco has had with the same chance as a first round draft pick. Boller never earned the respect nor reviews that Flacco has, with playoff appearances in all three of his seasons in the NFL.

After only three full seasons, Joe Flacco holds most passing records for the Ravens, including TD passes and total yards. He is well on his way to being that franchise QB that most people envisioned when the team traded up to grab him in the 2008 NFL Draft. Three years later, his team has been in the post-season, winning road playoff games each year and now seemed poised for another run at the Super Bowl.

Years from now, there's a decent chance that Flacco coud end up a lot higher on this list than just the 8th best draft pick in Ravens history. Right now, this is a pretty good start that should only get better.
