According to most so-called NFL Draft experts, the Baltimore Ravens are goingto select one of four positions with the 26th pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Whether it ends up being a defensive lineman, cornerback, offensive lineman or wide receiver, there have been specific names at each position most often mentioned in Mock Drafts.
Looking at each of those four positions, the guys whose names have been linked to the Ravens are Muhammad Wilkerson (DL), Jimmy Smith (CB), Gabe Carimi (OL), and Torrey Smith (WR). Each of these four guys would more than likely immediately contribute to the Ravens and be considered a solid selection. However, everyone knows the NFL Draft always seems to have a few surprises at the top of the draft that could totally affect the way the bottom part of the first round pans out.
Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome has followed his mantra of "Best Player Available" and if these four guys are all still on the board, he will go for whom the team ranks higher on their overall list, regardless of specific position need. If that's the case, I will predict that the team would grab the defensive lineman from Temple, Muhammad Wilkerson, over the other three. Who would you pick if you had to choose between these four guys?
