Baltimore Ravens veteran center Matt Birk responded to recent comments by the President of the United States, Barack Obama, who was asked a question about the current labor issues in the NFL. Obama basically said he thought billionaire owners and millionaire players need to work it out.
Birk took issues with what he termed a "sarcastic" comment when he mentioned the league's $9 billion revenue stream. He reminded Mr. President that an overwhelming majority of the players in the NFL are not millionaires. The most poignant comment was when Birk said this country has trillions of dollars of revenue and can't seem to balance the budget.
