Ravens Working Out Arizona Pair

The Baltimore Ravens are in Arizona today working out a pair of University of Arizona defensive players under the watchful eye of Defensive Coordinator Chuck Pagano and one of his linebacker coaches. Linebacker Brooks Reed is on their radar, as comparisons to Green Bay Packers LB Clay Matthews have been made. In addition, defensive end Ricky Elmore led the PAC-10 in sacks over the past two years and ironically has been working out with lay Matthews, Sr., the current Packers' star's father.

Both guys have been linked to other teams in Mock Draft and while Brooks Reed seems to be creeping up draft bards around the league, they are certainly no strangers to NFL scouts. Both players have conducted private workouts with a plethora of NFL teams and had multiple interviews at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. Based on their size and skills, it appears either guy will be used as a pass rushing specialist, whether or not they line up as a linebacker or defensive end.

Either player would be a great addition to the Ravens pass rush, which had poor sack totals the past few years despite being a top ten defense in the league.
