Ravens' Harbaugh Speaks From NFL Combine

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is part of the 50+ person armada that the team has assembled in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine, which began today, although the players don't take to the field of Lucas Oil Stadium until Friday morning. Harbaugh stepped to the podium earlier today and here are a few topics he touched on with the media.

He spoke about the team's need at wide receiver, noting that Maryland's Torrey Smith has an interesting storyline behind him that would seem to make him a quality pick for someone in the NFL. He has his fingers crossed that LB Sergio Kindle is recovering from his fractured skull and can return to the field this season. Coach also hears that OT Jared Gaither says he is 100% healthy and while he is not training at the team's facility, he is lifting and working out.

Harbaugh also talks about his coaching brethren in the NFL, from former defensive coordinator and now head coach of the New York Jets, Rex Ryan, to his own brother Jim, who has just taken the head coaching spot of the San Francisco 49ers. Incidentally, Rex Ryan "guaranteed" that his Jets would make the Super Bowl this coming season, in just another "look at me" moment in his head coaching career.
