It gives me great personal pleasure to announce that the champion of Baltimore Beatdown's Yahoo! Sports fantasy football league is none other than...wait for it,....ME! Yes, that is correct and there was nothing fishy about it. Beatdown Boss defeated Whispers in the Dark 127.72 to 66.20 in the final game played this past weekend. Team Ramrod defeated Nanta in the Consolation Game, 110.46-107.96.

The final game was a bit of a surprise match-up, as Beatdown Boss was the #4 seed and they beat the #1 seeded Nanta while Whispers in the Dark were the #3 seed who upset the #2 seed, Team Ramrod. However, with Beatdown Boss being led by Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford's 27 points as opposed to an injured Tony Romo's zero points for Whispers, the game was never in doubt. Click on the Yahoo! Sports link above to see the final details.

Thanks to all who participated and let's do this again next year. The auto-draft choice worked out well and in my obviously not-so-humble opinion, proved that solid attention to detail and key player personnel moves can result in a General Manager experience in fantasy football that would make me a clear choice for doing the same thing in the NFL!
