If you are one of the lucky ones, then you are most likely in your fantasy football league's championship game this weekend. Therefore, you might be interested in reading more on who might be the Baltimore Ravens fantasy football 'Sleeper of the Week.'
The Ravens play a familiar opponent in the Cleveland Browns and after a 24-10 win in Cleveland only three weeks ago, the Ravens expect to win this game even easier since it is at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium. In that game, Ray Rice ran for a personal-best 204 yards and even backup Ricky Williams got into the act with a solid game. While I fully expect Baltimore to force the run game down the throats of Cleveland, the passing game will have to heat up in preparation of the post season as well as their key week 17 match-up at the Cincinnati Bengals.
Thus, we will be expecting the Ravens fantasy football 'Sleeper of the Week' to be a contributor to the team's passing attack and as much grief he has gotten at times for his inconsistent performances in 2011, QB Joe Flacco, while technically not close to being a "sleeper," is still my selection to "start 'em if you've got 'em."
Flacco will want to prove his can step up when the chips are down and after last week's loss, he will want to put up some solid numbers in front of the hometown fans. He will be finding all of his targets on Christmas Eve, including his wideouts and tight ends in addition to his always reliable, although perhaps too often targeted, Ray Rice. If by some chance you have Flacco on your roster, play him, as he should be your fantasy football 'Sleeper of the Week.'
