Ravens Vs. Cardinals: It wasn't over until...

...the final whistle was blown, which came right as Baltimore Ravens placekicker Billy Cundiff booted the 25-yard game winning field goal to defeat the Arizona Cardinals 30-27. In many if not most games, you can pinpoint that one big play that turned the tide and essentially ended the game even though there is still time on the clock.

Not so in last Sunday's thrilling comeback victory for Baltimore, as Arizona took a seemingly insurmountable lead, only to see the Ravens whittle it away in the second half while shutting down the Cardinals offense for the game's final 30 minutes. Only an Arizona field goal delayed the victory and if not for that one big play which saw QB Joe Flacco hit rookie WR Torrey Smith down the right sideline for a 36-yard gain inside the Cards ten yard line to set up the game winner, the contest was headed to overtime and who knows what the outcome would have been.

That play allowed the offense to re-position the ball in the best spot for Cundiff to do his magic, as he has been perfect inside the 50-yard line all season. A lot of players were involved in plays that together contributed to the team's victory, but the fat lady did not even begin to sing until that ball was soaring between the uprights for the final margin.
