When the Baltimore Ravens take the field tonight on national TV to face the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football, they will wear their imposing all-black uniforms. However, those black uni's will be accented with the color of pink to show support and honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, just as SB Nation has followed suit and accented Baltimore Beatdown in a similar supportive fashion.
For one of the first times in M&T Bank Stadium history, someone other than Mycheal Miller will sing the National Anthem. According to an article on Football News Now. country music superstar Martina McBride will be joined by nearly 50 women, a combination of breast cancer survivors and those currently undergoing treatment, during the pregame tribute.
Players and coaches will wear various pink items along with the black uniforms, such as gloves, wristbands and hats. Game-worn items will then be auctioned off on NFL.com, with proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society.
