After the Baltimore Raven held their Saturday practice on the team's home field at M&T Bank Stadium in downtown Baltimore, I had a chance to go one-on-one with Ravens' rookie tight end Dennis Pitta in the locker room.

Beatdown: "Dennis, how are you doing?"

Pitta: "Good, how are you?"

Beatdown: "How are the legs, a little cut up?"

Pitta: "Yeah, a little battered and bruised here."

Beatdown: "How did it finaly feel to get on the field here?"

Pitta: "You know, it was a lot of fun. We had a lot of fans out here which is always awesome and to finally get a little bit of a taste of what it's like in the stadium is exciting and you know, we got a game Thursday and it's important for us to get out here and kind of see what it's like."

Beatdown: "Notice anything different about the turf here compared to out at McDaniel College?"

Pitta: "Um, yeah, it' a little faker here. You know, McDaniel College is actual grass. It's a little different being on here but you know, I've played on enough surfaces like this to where it's not too bad of a difference."

Beatdown: "Looking forward to playing in front of 70,000 fans, even though it's an exhibition game, but on national TV too?"

Pitta: "Yeah, you know we're excited. It's going to be a lot of fun and you know it'll fun to get that first taste of NFL football."

Beatdown: "Allright, thanks."

Pitta: "Appreciate it."
