Looking once again at a weekly post about Fantasy Football, we turn to the Baltimore Ravens QB, Joe Flacco, to ponder the question above. Flacco is entering his third year in the NFL and has started every game and played more in his first two years than any other QB in NFL history. He has improved his statistics the first two years and seems poised to make a significant jump in 2010 due to the improvement in his receiving corps along with the additional year of experience.
Some people say that a QB really begins to hit his stride in year three so Ravens and fantasy football fans might be very excited this season. Flacco threw for almost 700 more yards and increase his TD passes from 14 to 21 in his second year compared to his rookie season, while keeping his interceptions the exact same. However, the fantasy question remains in that is he a starter on your fantasy team or just a backup for your starter's Bye week? Who's ahead of Joe in fantasy terms? Most rankings have him in the #10-15 range, just behind the debatable Matt Ryan (Atlanta), Donvan McNabb (Washington), Kevin Kolb (Philadelphia), Jay Cutler (Chicago), Eli Manning (NY Giants) and Carson Palmer (Cincinnati). If you put him ahead of these guys, then he is a Top Ten Fantasy QB. Or is he? You discuss below. Talk amongst yourselves...
