Arizona TE Rob Gronkowski is considered one of best prospects in the draft at his position, but missed all of last season with a back injury, he wasn't able to work out for NFL scouts until now. Rob Gronkowski ran the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds. He had a 33 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot, 11-inch broad jump, a 4.47-second short shuttle, a 7.18-second three-cone drill and stood on his bench press number from the combine. He did all the position drills and looked good catching the ball and running routes. He only had two drops.
But With Rob more than likely gone in the 2nd-4th round, his brother could be a steal for teams in the later rounds. Rob’s brother, Chris Gronkowski, also worked out in the Arizona pro-day. He ran a 4.72 in the 40 yard-dash and had a 4.40 short shuttle. Not much other info has been released about Chris, but I think if he slips to the 7th round or maybe goes undrafted, he could be a great pick up for the TE-thin Ravens.
He was a FB in college, but in his junior year, he had 200 yards receiving and 2 TDs. So if given the chance to be mentored by Heap and trained by the coached properly, he could eventually be groomed into an effective TE.
