Ed Reed: AFC Defensive Player of Week

New, comments

Baltimore Ravens free safety Ed Reed was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his two interceptions in the team's 20-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns in week 16. Even after missing the first six games f the 2010 regular season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List, Reed still is tied for first place in the AFC in interceptions with six. Joining Reed with six interceptions to lead the AFC are Joe Haden, Devin McCourty and yes, Troy Polamalu. Reed was just voted to his seventh Pro Bowl in his nine-year career and for is as healthy as he has been in the past three years.

According to BaltimoreRavens.com, Reed has had ten games with two or more picks in his career and the Ravens have won all ten times he's accomplished the feat. Hopefully, he'll add to that total not only this weekend, but in the post season as well.

Congratulations, Ed!
