The Baltimore Ravens were on their way to totally demoralizing the Houston Texans, leading 21-0, but allowed a late TD pass on poor coverage by Ed Reed to lead at the half, 21-7. QB Joe Flacco is 15 of 22 for 152 yards and two TD's, and the Ravens defense shut down the Texans for the first 28 minutes before giving up that late TD pass from Matt Schaub to Andre Johnson.
At the end of the half, with two timeuts, the Ravens chose not to use them, but still threw the ball downfield. That was confusing, as if you didn't want to continue trying to score, then why throw the ball and risk the turnover? I guess that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
However, a two touchdown lead is what we were all looking for from this offense and since we have it, let's give the offense their props and hope it continues through the entire second half, especially the fourth quarter, the Ravens "Achilles Heel" this season.
