Ravens Slice & Dice Rice to 24-7 Halftime Lead: 2nd Half 'Open Thread'

Love the headline? Ray Rice started off the game with an 83 yard TD run on the very first play and the Ravens played perhaps the best first half in their history as they jumped out to a 24-0 lead and then held on to lead at halftime 24-7. Rice had 11 carries for 109 yards and two TD's in the half, and personally outgained the Patriots so far after the first half.

However, this game is far from over and if the Ravens continue to make some of the mistakes that have crept up in the second quarter, it could get uncomfortable real fast, knowing the potential of the Patriot's offense. Now is the time to put them away and not let the crowd get into the game in the second half. Blitzing Brady has worked out great but rushing three has already proven unsuccessful.

Playing solid, mistake free football is a must for success the rest of the game. However, unless Flacco can get untracked a bit more than he has shown so far, it could be a problem. He has looked cautious and almost even scared and needs a key completion to keep the Pats honest and up his own personal confidence.

Stay tuned and keep the awesome comments flowing!
