Heard from around the league...

The following are excerpts from around the league related to the Baltimore Ravens. Read the entire article here.

SI.com's Don Banks names his impact coaches for 2008, and John Harbaugh tops his list.

SI.com's Peter King has the Ravens selecting Tennessee State cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie with the eighth pick.

Scouts, Inc. ranks the top 64 receivers in the NFL, and three Ravens made the list, but none were in the top 40.

Derrick Mason was listed at No. 41. Mark Clayton makes the list at No. 49. And Demetrius Williams came in at No. 57.

Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com ranks the quarterback situations for all 32 teams. He gives the Ravens a C-: McNair appears to be a broken-down shell of his former self. Boller has been a big tease who hasn't lived up to the hype. Smith has ability, but he's raw. They could use a high pick on a passer. And they should.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports ranks all 32 teams going into the draft. He has the Ravens at No. 29: Steve McNair looked like he was done last season, and drafting a quarterback in the first round isn’t going to help this franchise in the short term. Elements of the defense are getting old. It looks like time for a multiyear rebuild.
