Ed Block Courage Awards - Tonight!

The Ed Block Courage Awards will be presented tonight (Tuesday, March 11, 2008) in Baltimore, Maryland. The Ed Block Courage Award Foundation promotes the prevention of child abuse by raising awareness of the epidemic and assisting agencies who provide for the care and treatment of abused children in communities throughout the National Football League (NFL). That objective is coupled with the Foundation's commitment to celebrating players of inspiration in the NFL. The Ed Block Courage Award is named in honor of Ed Block, the longtime head athletic trainer of the Baltimore Colts who was a pioneer in his profession and a respected humanitarian. The Buffalo Bills' Kevin Everett, who is recovering from what was thought to be an injury that by all accounts should have left him paralyzed for life, will be attending and featured at the ceremony.
