Thank U to my supporters. I was not drunk. I was in ice storm and my car slid into 3 ft of snow median. I called police 4 help. They had Other plans. I was stucl and wanted to go to my hotel. I was not passed out Drunk. I was co-herent. I'm sorry if I let you down. Don't Believe everything You read. My life is good and this is a speed bump in the road. The truth will come out. GOD Bless. I take responsibility For this. My job is to stay clean and never put myself in jeopardy. TMZ blew it out of proportion. After my Hearings, I will give You proper Story. GOD Bless. Kurt Angle. — The cops and TMZ are just persecuting poor Kurt Angle according to his official statement posted on his Twitter account. In the statement, he never actually says that he wasn't drinking and conveniently ignores that the details of his arrest came from North Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Kevin Robson speaking to The Grand Forks Herald, not TMZ.

Mike Price will discuss the arrest before practice today, so expect an update on this tonight. For now, details have emerged concerning the events that led to the arrest. EXCERPT: According to College Football Talk: The senior was charged with assault causing body injury/family violence, interference with emergency call, and failure to maintain financial responsibility. According to an El Paso Police Department spokesman, the 22-year-old Davis got into a verbal altercation with the woman in an apartment in the 300 block of Shadow Mountain that resulted in him allegedly grabbing her by the wrist. According to police, Davis let the woman go and she grabbed her phone. He then allegedly "tackled her and grabbed the phone and threw the phone."
