Ravens lead Saints 21-14 at Half-Time 2nd-Half 'Open Thread'
So far we've seen a good game from the Ravens from both the coaching side and the playing side. Our Offense has been working the way we all love, and our defense has stayed as stout as possible against the top offense in the NFL, excluding the last drive. We should look to see the Ravens extend their lead and make this their 10th win on the year. Keep your comments here throughout the 2nd half, and enjoy the game. GO RAVENS!!!
NFL Sunday Slate of Games: 'Open Thread'
With the Baltimore Ravens not playing until Monday night, the rest of the league (except perhaps the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants now) plays on Sunday. There are quite a few games that can affect the Ravens playoff standing, so join in this Open Thread' to post your thoughts on all the other games of the day.
Waiting to hear what will happen to the Vikings/Giants game, as it was originally postponed due to snow on the roof of the Metrodome, but now the roof has collapsed so it will have to be moved elsewhere. Who knows where or even when it will end up but in the meantime, Ravens fans will just have to become fans of the Cincinnati Bengals today, as difficult as that may be, as it's all for a good cause (beating Pittsburgh)!
Teams to root for today: Bengals (vs. Steelers), Jaguars (vs. Raiders), Bears (vs. Patriots), Dolphins (vs. Jets).
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens "Open Thread"
I'm early, sue me. This is a critical week 13 match-up, which will probably decide who wins the division. The trash-talking doesn't matter now, because it's game-time now. It's time to buckle-up or shut up.
Keep your comments here through-out the game, it looks to be a good one. Goooooooo Ravens!!!!!
NFL Week: 10 Open Thread
Bills-24 at Ravens-20 2nd Half Open Thread
As Vince Lombardi once said: YouTube - Vince Lombardi What the Hell's Going on? This is turning out to be a really good game, despite our 4 point deficit. What we need to do to win the game; Run, Run, Run! We may have scored 2 Passing TDs, but we still need to keep running. They are allowing us 9 yards a carry, and we need to take advantage of that.
But in other news, Holy crap Mason! I thought Boldin was supposed to be our big play guy. Well keep your comments here as we enter the 2nd half, and enjoy the rest of game. Go Ravens!!!
Buffalo Bills (0-5) at Baltimore Ravens (4-2)
Today the Bills travel to Baltimore looking for their first win of their season. I think the Ravens should easily win this game and continue the Bills win-less season. Coming into this season I was worried that this had the potential to be an upset, but with poor QB play and CJ Spiller's lack-luster rookie season I don't see the Bills pulling this one off. Ed Reed is returning to the Ravens this week, and should have a field-day against the 31st ranked passing-offense. Look for Joe Flacco to have a big day, and Ray Rice to break off a few big runs.
My Prediction: Ravens: 35 Bills: 10
Please join us throughout this game and keep your comments here on Baltimore Beatdown. Enjoy the game, and go Ravens!!!

Covering Ed Reed's Golf Classic
Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed held his charity golf tournament at Renditions Golf Course in Davidsonville, Maryland this past Friday afternoon. About 15 players joined Reed and while interviews were held with a bunch of players by local sports radio station 105.7 prior to teeing off, talk about Reed's recent comments regarding his contract status and the team's alledged refusal to send him game film was absent.
I was only able to get a few photos of the players due to the slow play and the 100 degree heat that sort of began to get to me, standing in the sun next to the first tee.
The first player I saw off the tee was 2nd year linebacker Paul Kruger, who looked even bit the ten pounds of muscle he said he put on in the off season to bulk up. Kruger, now clean shaven without his beard and curly blond locks, wound up and hit it huge, commenting afterwards, "Not bad for my first shot of the summer."
