Growing up, pro football hall of fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp has also been an idol for Ravens defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan. Jernigan models his game after him and just about every way and he hopes that can lead to bigger and better things for him not only in 2016 but for the rest of his career.
When Ravens defensive lineman Chris Canty was released by the team earlier this offseason, it gave Jernigan the opportunity to wear number 99 just like Sapp did in his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Timmy Jernigan has changed his number to 99 as a tribute to @WarrenSapp.

And in somewhat of a surprise, Sapp chimed in on the matter.
@Ravens how do I stop this??

Jernigan trying to model his game on the field after Sapp is a great thing for the Ravens. As long as Jernigan stays on the right path off of the field, he should be just fine in the long run. Maybe that was what Sapp was alluding to.
