Late last night, news broke that Steelers running backs Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrett Blount were pulled over in a traffic stop and allegedly were caught with possession of marijuana.
In addition, Bell, a second-year running back out of Michigan State, is likely facing driving under the influence charges. It's one thing to be caught with possession. To be caught driving under the influence, could cause Bell to face a stiffer penalty.
The NFL will have to act rather quickly if anything happens this year. One precedent in place could be what happened with Dwayne Bowe. He was arrested for marijuana possession a year ago and was just recently suspended for the 2014 opener. So while it's a big deal news-wise Thursday morning, it may be a situation that takes a while to play out.
