Ravens rookie defensive end Brent Urban tore his right ACL and will miss the 2014 season, John Harbaugh confirmed to reporters on Thursday.

This is the second season-ending injury the Ravens have sustained in training camp, the first being cornerback Aaron Ross tearing his Achilles during the conditioning test. Rookie defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan has a back injury but it isn't deemed serious.
Urban's loss hurts as he could have provided some needed depth on the defensive line, especially at the five-technique. In addition, any special teams value he could have added is now gone. The Ravens do still have plenty of bodies on the defensive line that will be able to contribute this year.
Urban will be placed on injured reserve, with the Ravens adding another player. Whether the Ravens decide to add another defensive lineman or address another position remains to be seen.
